I used to see MsSimmons at yard sales all the time................such a sweet lady. As a matter of fact she came to my yard sale just a few weeks ago........it was Scott's birthday. We talked and talked. I will so miss seeing her even though I didn't know her very well. She always made it seem as if we were long time friends. God's blessings to her family and especially to Scott. He was always with her when I saw her. Oh the sites she must be seeing in Heaven!

I attend Loudsville Campmeeting every summer with my husband’s family and always looked forward to seeing Mrs Simmons and her son, Scott. Mrs Simmons was the friendliest, most Christian woman. She always took time to stop and speak and ask after my children. I will miss her. The world is less sunny without her smile. Stewart Hendrix (tent 136)

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Simmons' passing. What a wonderful Christian lady. She loved the Lord and people. May the Lord comfort all the family. To Joy: I know how much you loved your Mother. You always reminded me of her. Please know that I am praying for you all. Praying for Scott's recovery as well. Sam Smith

I'll never forget our times together at church, bible school, beauty salon, and yard sales! Your mom must have been elated to see you in heaven Friday afternoon, but oh how much we grief we bear here without you. Your family will be lost, only our God can give them the grace needed to endure. I'll always remember the time seeing you in the Cleveland Wal-Mart. You were so kind to my sister Lavada and you actually remembered her after all those yrs. You were a faithful servant and a wonderful mother. I'm sure you mothered those little kindergarten kids like your own. I remember you coming in to get a haircut right before you and James got married...you were overjoyed and excited. James, Ginger, Joy, and Scott you are in my prayers, I know Elaine would want you to keep walking in faith knowing she is really not gone, just away until you meet again. She will continue to be with you always. Love to you all

Mrs Simmons was my Kindergarten teacher back in the early 2000s. We have kept in touch through all these years. We had a bond that some children are lucky to have with their teachers and I sure did love her so much. I have many a yearbook signatures from her, and she has known my family for quite a while. I love her so much. I am so sorry for your loss.
