To the family of Jim Marlowe: Mr Marlowe changed my life in December of 1980. He hired me as a temporary instructor for the electrical department on December 1 of 1980. I was informed that as of January 1 of 1981 the rules of employment for the state would change for anyone hired permanently after that date. As a temporary employee I would be subject to the new rules. Jim Marlowe went to Atlanta on December 23 and carried my employee file to personnel and changed my employment status to permanent. That one seemingly simple act by Jim insured my employment under the older rules system until I retired on 12-31-04. Mr Marlowe wasn’t required to do that type of thing for me or anyone else either, but that was simply the type of man and leader of NGT THAT HE WAS! THANK YOU JIM and REST IN PEACE. Bill Kesler
